General Terms and Conditions
- The 8½+ e-Privilege Card (“e-Privilege Card”) is issued and operated by CDW Building Limited (the "Company")
- Eligibility for membership is at the sole discretion of the Company.
- By accepting, redeeming or using the e-Privilege Card, the Member (as defined thereafter) agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. In case of any dispute, the Company reserves the right of final decision on all matters whether herein provided or not.
8½+ e-Privilege Card membership
- Customers with same-day spending of designated amount by electronic payment methods (Credit Card, EPS, Octopus, UnionPay, Alipay, WeChat Pay, BOC Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay or other Mobile Payments) at 8½ merchants, upon presenting valid original machine-printed receipts with the corresponding electronic payment slips, and follow HKRI Instagram account, are eligible to complete the registration form of e-Privilege Card and become an e-Privilege Card member ("Member") at the designated location. Designated amount and designated location shall be announced by the Company from time to time.
- For customers who are under the age of 18, they should obtain consent from their parent or guardian before applying for and become the Member.
- Mobile number submitted for registration must be authentic and valid. Virtual mobile number is not accepted to be used for registration.
- Each mobile number can be registered by one customer only. Duplicate registrations of the same mobile number will not be accepted.
- The name of the registered Member must be the same as the one stated on the related electronic payment receipts.
- Members must register a correct and valid mobile number from Hong Kong, Mainland China or Macau to receive the registration form or SMS authentication code. Members must be the legitimate owner of the registered mobile number (Note: the SMS authentication code or the registration form link will only be sent to the Member's registered mobile number. If the Member has turned on SMS Divert service, the SMS authentication code or the registration form link will still be only sent to the registered mobile number, but not the other mobile number that the Member has diverted to).
- e-Privilege Card only supports iOS 12 or above and Android 8 or above. e-Privilege Card only supports Apple Wallet and Google Wallet.
- The Company takes no responsibility for any undelivered SMS, push notifications or emails.
- Members must ensure that the information submitted on the registration form is authentic, accurate, complete, not misleading and without any elements of fraud.
- Membership can only be used by the Member himself/herself and is non-transferable.
- The Company staff shall have the right to request Members to present a valid identification document in order to verify the Members’ data shown on the Members' mobile phone.
- The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate any membership without any prior notice if Members use any accounts that belong to another person, or are found to be dishonest in their application for membership or exercise of member privileges.
- During registration, customers must present valid original machine-printed receipt(s) with corresponding electronic payment slip (Credit Card/ EPS/ Octopus/ Mobile Payment) or Octopus or mobile payment App interface with clear merchants’ name, transaction date and transaction amount of the transaction and product name for verification. Re-printed receipts, photocopied receipts, hand written receipts and receipts of cash coupons and gift vouchers are not acceptable. All machine-printed receipt(s) must be issued within the same day of redemption. Receipt(s) issued on dates preceding the date of redemption will not be valid or accepted. The Company’s staff shall have absolute discretion to refuse any gift redemption in respect of any sales receipts and/or electronic payment slip(s) with missing, false, unclear, damaged, or altered information.
- Machine-printed receipts for food and other consumption transactions only will be accepted for registration of Members. The following transactions will not be accepted for registration: online shopping and use of gift certificates, cash coupons or credit card point, receipts issued by any fees payment, value-added or payment services, purchase of stamps, calling cards, Alipay card, purchase of cash coupon / voucher/ pre- paid card, temporary exhibition booths.
- Split payment receipts will not be accepted. Payment receipts from shop(s) cannot be split into different receipts or payment slips for registration of Members purposes. Therefore, the payment amount on the shop’s machine-printed receipts and corresponding electronic payment slips must be the full amount of the relevant transaction. The Company’s staff shall have absolute discretion to refuse registration of Members if the shop’s machine-printed receipts or electronic payment slips are deemed suspicious.
- For installment transactions, only the amount of the first installment or the deposit paid will be accepted for registration of Members. Customers must register on the day of such payment. The remaining balance payment will not be eligible for registration.
- The Company’s staff will stamp “Gifts have been redeemed” on each machine-printed sales receipt and corresponding electronic payment slip, to indicate that registration of Members has been made. All receipts that have been used for gift redemption are NOT eligible for refund from the outlets.
- The Company’s staff are entitled to take photograph(s), photocopy or record machine-printed sales receipt and corresponding electronic payment slip presented by customers for verification purposes.
- Members may delete their account, or change his/her mobile phone number, name or birthday month after completing the registration, by visiting the Concierge Counter at 8½ in person.
- After the deletion of e-Privilege Card, all unredeemed electronic stamps in the Member’s account will be forfeited without further notice.
- The Company reserves the right to amend or update the above Terms and Conditions from time to time without prior notice. In case of any disputes, the Company reserves the right of final decision.
Welcome gift
- Members with same-day spending of designated amount by electronic payment methods (Credit Card, EPS, Octopus, Mobile Payment) at 8½ merchants, upon presenting valid machine-printed receipts together with corresponding electronic payment slips after registration as a e-Privilege Card member are entitled to redeem a welcome gift.
- The welcome gift must be selected before membership registration. Once the mobile number has been entered, the welcome gift cannot be changed or reissued.
- Each newly registered membership account together with each valid merchants’ machine-printed receipts and its corresponding electronic payment slips can only redeem a maximum of one welcome gift.
- Each newly registered membership account can only redeem the welcome gift once.
- Gifts are available on a first-come-first-served basis, while stock lasts. All decisions made by the Company shall be final and binding on all parties. The Company reserves the right to cancel, revise, suspend any or all part(s) of this promotion, the requirements of gift redemption, the types, quantities and/or other conditions of any gifts at any time without further notice.
- All electronic redemption coupons for welcome gifts will be automatically saved in his/her e-Privilege Card under the “8½+ Member e-Center”. Members shall redeem the welcome gift at 8½+ Concierge Counter within the redemption period. Expired coupons will be invalid.
- Member must visit 8½ Concierge Counter and present the electronic redemption coupon saved in the “8½+ Member e-Center” of e-Privilege Card to redeem the gift. The Company’s staff have absolute discretion to refuse any gift redemption if the Member fails to present the valid electronic redemption coupon.
- All gift cannot be exchanged for cash or other products. Lost, damaged or expired vouchers/ coupons will not be replaced.
- Goods and services to be redeemed are not provided by the Company. The Company is not liable for the quality of such goods and services and any replacement or refund thereof. Members are advised to check the gifts immediately after redemption.
- No welcome gift will be given to customers who have cancelled their membership within the past 6 months from the month of new application.
- The above promotion is subject to change and may be cancelled at any time without prior notice. In case of any disputes, the Company reserves the right of final decision.
Electronic stamp
- Members with same-day spending of designated amount by electronic payment methods (Credit Card, EPS, Octopus, Mobile Payment) at 8½ merchants, upon presenting valid machine-printed receipts together with original corresponding electronic payment slips are entitled to redeem electronic stamps (“stamp”) at the designated location.
- During the promotion period, Members will receive one stamp for every single purchase of HK$200 or more on the same day, two stamps for every purchase of HK$400, and so on. Each valid machine-printed receipt can redeem up to 10 stamps.
- Each valid machine-printed receipt together with original corresponding electronic payment slips can only be redeemed by one Member and can only be redeemed the stamp once.
- Gifts for stamp redemption are available on a first-come-first-served basis, while stock lasts. All decisions made by the Company’s staff shall be final and binding on all parties. The Company reserves the right to cancel, revise, suspend any or all part(s) of this promotion, the requirements of gift redemption, the types, quantities and/or other conditions of any gifts at any time without further notice.
- The selected electronic redemption coupons for stamp reward will be automatically rewarded into the “8½+ Member e-Center” of e-Privilege Card. Members may redeem the gift at 8½+ Concierge counter within the redemption period. Expired coupons will be invalid.
- The Company and the relevant 8½ merchants will not bear any responsibility in any case of network problems, system malfunctioning, poor phone reception or blocking by third party applications that cause the delay, loss, mistake or corruption of an information transfer.
- Stamps cannot be reused and will not be reissued once deducted.
- Unless otherwise specified, there is no limit on the number of redemptions that a Member can request.
- Stamps will be deducted after gift redemption. The stamps or the gifts cannot be exchanged for cash or other products.
- During stamp redemption, Members must present valid original machine-printed receipt(s) with corresponding electronic payment slips (Credit Card/ EPS/ Octopus/ Mobile Payment) or Octopus or mobile payment App interface with clear merchants’ name, transaction date and transaction amount of the transaction and product name for stamp redemption.
